[:pl]W czerwcu 2024 roku wzięliśmy udział w Międzynarodowym Kongresie Prawniczym „Ku odpowiedzialnemu rozwojowi Metaverse”, zorganizowanym przez Katedrę Metaverse na Uniwersytecie w Alicante (Hiszpania) w dniach 13-14 czerwca 2024 roku.
Celem kongresu było zgromadzenie międzynarodowych ekspertów z różnych dziedzin, aby omówić bieżące problemy związane bezpośrednio z rozwojem Metaverse, takie jak własność intelektualna, ochrona danych osobowych, prawo umów, moderacja treści czy cyberbezpieczeństwo. Dyskusje koncentrowały się na ocenie, czy istniejące ramy prawne zapewniają odpowiednią ochronę wszystkim obywatelom, a także pewność prawną przedsiębiorcom w Metaverse, aby możliwe było optymalne wykorzystanie potencjału oferowanego przez to nowe środowisko wirtualne.
Kongres składał się z sześciu paneli, w których prezentacje prowadzili naukowcy współpracujący z Katedrą w pierwszym roku jej działalności. Panele obejmowały następujące tematy:
- Zarządzanie Metaverse
- Status prawny awatarów i tożsamość cyfrowa w Metaverse
- Prywatność i ochrona danych osobowych w Metaverse
- Moderacja treści i zachowań w Metaverse
- Wirtualne światy jako rynki
- Cyberbezpieczeństwo w Metaverse
Było to inspirujące wydarzenie, które pozwoliło na wymianę wiedzy oraz wspólne zastanowienie się nad przyszłością prawnych aspektów Metaverse, mając na uwadze odpowiedzialny i zrównoważony rozwój tej technologii.[:en]In June 2024, we participated in the International Legal Congress „Towards a Responsible Development of the Metaverse,” organized by the Metaverse Chair at the University of Alicante (Spain) on June 13-14, 2024.
The purpose of the congress was to bring together international experts from various disciplines to discuss current issues directly related to the development of the Metaverse, such as intellectual property, personal data protection, contract law, content moderation, and cybersecurity. The discussions focused on assessing whether the existing legal framework provides adequate protection to all citizens as well as legal certainty to entrepreneurs in the Metaverse, allowing for optimal use of the potential offered by this new virtual environment.
The congress consisted of six panels, with presentations by scholars who had worked with the Chair during its first year. The panels covered the following topics:
1. **Metaverse Governance**
2. **Legal Status of Avatars and Digital Identity in the Metaverse**
3. **Privacy and Personal Data Protection in the Metaverse**
4. **Content and Conduct Moderation in the Metaverse**
5. **Virtual Worlds as Markets**
6. **Cybersecurity in the Metaverse**
It was an inspiring event that enabled the exchange of knowledge and joint reflection on the future of legal aspects of the Metaverse, considering the responsible and sustainable development of this technology.[:]
