The European Accessibility Act (abbreviated as EAA) is the common name for Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.
This Act establishes an EU-wide legal framework aimed at improving the accessibility of selected products and services for persons with disabilities and persons with specific needs.
The EAA was adopted as an EU directive, which means it requires implementation into the national law of each Member State within a specified timeframe for its provisions to become effective at the national level. Poland has adopted the relevant regulations, which will enter into force on June 28, 2025.
